Robert Brooks

Robert Brooks was born and raised in Atlanta, Georgia and is currently a senior at Pace Academy in Atlanta. He was first introduced to ceramic art as a freshman at Pace and has been doing wheel work since early in his sophomore year. 

In his Freshmen year, Robert won Pace's prestigious "Renaissance Art Award." His success continued Junior year when he won 3 Gold Keys for 3 separate ceramic pieces in the Scholastic Art & Writing Georgia Regional competition. The same year Robert won a Silver medal at the Scholastic Art & Writing National competition and accepted the award at Carnegie Hall in NYC along side other high school artist from all over the country. In addition, one of his sculptures also won placement in the 2012 Georgia High School Ceramics Arts & Awards Symposium. 

Robert has been instructed by well known Potter Rick Berman through most of his short career. He also gained significant experience from his summer internship at Chastain Art center in Georgia during the summer of 2012.
